Land Management Plans

A Land Management Plan may be requested by local government to support a proposal to use land in a different way to its current use and if the removal of native vegetation or fauna habitat is necessary.

A Land Management Plan typically outlines actions to improve, protect and or generate natural resources i.e. to improve biodiversity or mitigate environmental risks such as erosion or salinity. Specific actions with measureable outcomes and specific time frames are generated.

Land Management Plans can include:

  • Pest animal and plant control methods
  • Native vegetation planting lists, densities and methods
  • Timeframes and costs
  • Responsible persons and monitoring requirements
